This Open Back Cotton Pullover was an experimental project for me. I was not sure how the back curves will turn out, how back pieces will hold to each other (because of the cotton weight). The curves appeared to be great, just as I imagined, but I needed to sew a couple of places to hold the pieces together to be secured the shape at the back. Loved working with this yarn, loved the color, it reminded me the beautiful vacation I had one summer in France. My knitting project with 'back story' continues...

Cotton Summer Skirt is finished.

Lacy part is worked in sideway, and the upper part is picked up and worked in Stockinette. 

I love knitting skirt with cotton, it does not stretch and has a good st definition on lace pattern.

I might make another one with different color..love knitted skirt!

I'm now enjoying the best part of designing process - picking colors from yarn sample book!

What can I say, don't all knitwear designers just love looking at it?

What I'm working on right now is a couple of designs for accessory knits book, that's coming up this fall to be published.

My impression of the image board for the book is, pretty standard, not easy for the beginners but not complicated, and there'd be no fancy patterns to satisfy experiened knitters.

I'm seeing that's what sells the most in the market, at least in Japan right now.

I've recently received Vera Moda's yarns as a souvenir from Singapore - a delightful skeins of bamboo cotton.

They are not special colors but it has a unique shine to it - and it feels nice and smooth when you knit with it.

The only concertn is that it can split easily, so complicated lace pattern will not go well with this - (trust me I've tried it)

I'm designing some Spring knits for next year and bamboo yarns are always nice to work with!

I know I have to really work on my new HP adding patterns and stuff. But outside is too beautifull that I cannnot concentrate on my work!

Here is a tulip I picked up from garden today, underneath is my knitted table center worked with Noro Pure Silk 100%. Very matching color isn' it?
